Tuesday evening,
Beach Buoy looked out of a window, up to the sky.
The clouds were calling.
Another Dog was tired.
She and Borrowed Dog had been on an afternoon field walk.
When Borrowed Dog comes for the day, she watches his every move.
When he goes back she usually collapses in a heap.
You know that she is really tired when she disappears into another room.
She was sleeping in another room.
Beach Buoy decided to walk to the beach alone.
He set off at 6-15 p.m.
His feet touched sand at 6-32.
A seventeen minute walk.
A wonderful cloud sat above the Wind Turbines.
The Sun was already putting plans in place to set.
A couple, both in big coats, stood near a bonfire at the dune edge.
They were taking photographs of the array of clouds that were on show.
It wasn't really a big coat type of evening.
It was very mild.
A light breeze blew from the south west.
It had the fell of around 9-30 p.m. on a summer's evening, not 6-45 in October.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.
The tide was well out.
The Seaton Carew Wreck was still at sea but not by much.
Three had walked down from the dunes.
After writing messages in the sand, they had headed north.
The beach to the south was now his.
Hundreds of Gulls rafted out in the Bay.
Beach Buoy checked the times of a number of the bay's flashing lights.
He used the "Apple and." method.
Its an autumn evening type of thing.
He caught the South Gare light illuminated on
"Eight apple and nine."
"Evening Mate.
It was 6-53.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He had a sit and think.
He didn't stay long, the light was quickly fading.
"See you in the morning mate."
Beach Buoy set off back to the north.
Two big coats sat either side of a dune edge bonfire.
It was 7-16 by the time he passed the Clock Tower.
The shadow given by an up light seemed to disagree.
The colourful light from an Ice Cream Shop was a nice addition.
On foot back along Tees Road.
A large, illuminated Crane stood alongside new Wind Turbine Towers.
The front door opened at 7-31.
BEACH BUOY.
