SINGING AT THE SEA. SEATON SANDS 29 04 18.

It was around 7-00 a.m.
Beach Buoy arrived on the Beach minus one Dog!
The Dog had made no attempt to get out of bed.
It was his mate, a companion too, but it was oh so stubborn and independent when it wanted to be.
He was fairly sure that one day he would be giving the Dog a belly rub and he would come across a Zip.
Pulling the Zip open  would review a Cat inside a Dog Suit, it would, after all explain a lot of things.
There was another Dog Walker on the Beach and a man singing at the Sea with what look like a Football Scarf held high above his head. Perhaps he was a fellow Hartlepool United Supporter? Was he still celebrating yesterday's win and the fact that we hadn't slipped down and out of another League ladder and followed shortly afterwards by a tin of paint labelled EMBARRASSING RED.

Beach Buoy headed to North Gare feeling a bit out of sorts, what with no Dog for company. He kept glancing to keep tabs on The Singing Man with a feeling of inevitability that their paths would cross at  sometime no matter how much anti beach contact zigzagging he did.
He didn't have to wait long, The Singing man had quickly clambered across the dull grey rocks to join Beach Buoy at the WW2  anti tank traps.
His "Scarf." turned out to be a Beach found Towel, which he explained he was going to take home and wash it .... as he hated waste.
The Singing Man asked if he believed in God, asked advice about footwear for toughening the feet.
After a polite chat they went their separate ways

Beach Buoy headed back along the water's edge and later the Strand line, picking up finds and beach clean items as he went.

Beach Buoy's Beach clean items.
The HL 44 will be the fishing boat registration for HARTLEPOOL 44 .

He had found some driftwood that reminded him of some the Mobile Phones he had owned in the past.

He washed and photographed this morning's finds so he could do his Beach Blog later on in the day.

Around 12 hours had passed and Beach Buoy was back on the Beach with his dog in tow this time. Tow is the correct terminology  as that  is sometimes  how the walk can pan out if the cute but stubborn  Little Dog decides to literarily dig it's heels in!
They had walked to the Beach. They had gone past the Cricket Club on the way to the Beach and the Golf Club too.
There was no flag on the Golf Club flagpole tonight.
It seems to be constantly at half mast for another member gone?
They rounded the corner of The Golf Club's building on the way to the Prom and were met by blast from a  dog sized sand storm cloud.

There wasn't many finds for Beach Buoy tonight, but this Glass Heart caught his eye.

Beach Buoy was glad that he was out
making the very most of the lighter nights.

Tonight was fresh with more of a nibble than a bite to the breeze.
The finds were few and far between and tonight it seemed as though much of the  Sea Pottery was just blank on both sides with no hint of a story to try and guess.
As he picked one more white piece of Sea Pottery up in the hope of a colourful pattern on the underside, he was left disappointed  and as the failed reveal took place he found himself singing quietly, the tune of the TV shown  Blankety Blank  as much of the pottery was exactly that; blankly blank !
So there he was 12 hours or so later ...
singing at the Sea.
Beach Buoy was now
The Singing Man!

BEACH BUOY.......... I THINK.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL 28 APRIL 2018.

A fresh evening walk.

Dramatic Clouds over the Bay's Wind Turbines.

The view North was in complete contrast to last night's light show.

A slightly battered Sea Alley

Recent finds.

BEACH BUOY.

27 APRIL 2018, SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.... HE IS ME.

He was a little too tired to walk to the Beach.
He left the house just before 6pm.
By 6-04pm he had pulled up at the now free Car Park.
He had parked in line with the ramp that leads you down to the Beach behind the Promenade wall.
He sat for a while and gathered he thoughts as an impatient Dog sat next to him, waiting.
He looked ahead to see a masculine looking woman light up a cigarette in the strong breeze and head down to the Beach via the concrete ramp.
She launched out of view, leaving a puff of smoke to give away her location.

He had parked with the bright Sun behind him.
A Boxer looking man with a Boxer looking Dog raised a flat hand to his brow to block the Sun and looked towards the Car as if to see who was in the Car. The Boxer walked on a few steps and repeated the scenario as if to double check.

He walked along the Beach with his Dog.
He had brought a warm drink in his battered but eco friendly re-usable cup.
He took time out to sit, drink and think.

The light was lovely this evening and by now the Beach was deserted.

The shingle at The Gare gave up another worthless but priceless gem, he put it eagerly into his Bag.

On the way back he spotted a Squid.
It didn't look well but he was no expert so he carried it down to a nearby Rock Pool, because ...you never know.

The light tempted him away from possible finds up near the strand line  and he headed for the water's edge.
The Sea and a Dog for company, he slowly headed back.

As he walked he thought a lot and continued to try and put the world to rights inside his head as he did so.

Before they left, The Sun put on a stunning light show on some land/sand locked water.

He looked at his Dog as they neared the Car Park.
"Time to go Mate." he said out loud.
"Really!" thought the Dog, silently.

BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS 26 APRIL 2018.

A new addition to The Car Park, it is a great idea.
I hope people get around to putting them into the bins and not leave them full and on the Beach as some ..... people do!

It was a bright evening walk.

The shingle was still giving up finds.
A Sea Alley.

Possibly the oldest of recent Breach brick finds?

When partially buried in the sand, this looked all the world like a beauty pot lid find.
It was rubber and became part of my Beach clean today.

The finds.

SEATON SANDS 25 APRIL 2018.

Arrived about 6-22pm.
I joined the Beach down near Seaton Village Green and headed South.
Behind me rain threatened...

BRICK

BRICK

This photograph is from a recent Beach trip.
I asked if Hartlepool Council could move it.
It was a mass of ghost fishing gear.

Well it looks like job done.
THANK YOU !

I continued on my journey South to North Gare.
Clouds hung over the River Tees.

A Wave or Surf Sea Alley.
I mooched about, down by the Gare, hoping for more finds; it was "That" type of shingle that has given up a few nice finds in recent evenings.
The Sun appeared as the threatened  rain headed out to Sea and came down in dark distant streaks like a Stage Backdrop in total contrast to the White Yachts putting on a show, angled in the Bay, angled both in shape and to the Dramatic Horizon.

I Love the Beach in all of its different moods.
The Sun guided me and Dogs back.
The tide was way out.
Apart from us, the Beach was deserted.

The Dogs were enjoying each others company as we headed back.

The Seaton Carew Wreck, it appears from time to time.

Sunset over Seaton Carew, the Beach Sand  looks like water in the diminishing light.

Tonight's finds...

Monday 23 April 2018

SEATON SANDS. 23 APRIL 2018.

Arrived around 4-20pm
The tide was out, but coming in.
The wind was stripping the dunes of sand.
The Dog has short legs therefore he was picked up whenever he was blasted by the  travelling beach sand.
